Maybach Music Group rapper Gunplay was released on $150,000 bond earlier today (October 22nd.) He is currently on house arrest following his detainment in connection with a robbery at a Miami tax office. Gunplay, born Richard Morales, faces charges of second degree aggravated assault with a firearm and armed robbery.

“The state did not prove that Mr. Morales was a flight risk or a threat to the community,” said his attorney Michael Grieco. “He should be home with his family shortly. This is first step in clearing his name so he can continue his emerging music career.”

His initial arrest occurred after Gunplay reportedly stole a cell phone and gold chain on April 13th. In footage that surfaced online, what appears to be Gunplay threatens an accountant with a gun and assaults him.
